Introducing Dakotah!
Dakotah is my brand new medallion for 2021. I sculpted Dakotah as a wild North Dakota Badlands horse. He is a nod to the state where I was born and raised - North Dakota. If you aren’t familiar with the horses please check them out. The wild horses of the Badlands hold a unique place in the history and settlement of North Dakota.
Dakotah was inspired by the North Dakota Badlands Horse they called Blaze. Blaze was a stunning red roan stallion with a blaze and one blue eye. He inspired many people and lives on in the hearts of all of his admirers. As part of his background I’ve sculpted some of the rugged North Dakota Badlands. The badlands are harsh to live in, but a beautiful place to visit.
Dakotah will be a one mold run and is approximately 5 inches. At this time I have 1 painted, and 15 unpainted medallions available for immediate shipment. Photo of painted roan copy is example only. You may purchase your unpainted copy below.

Here is the very sought-after Traditional scale Artist Resin “Fritz”. Sculpted by the uber-talented Sarah Minkiewicz-Breunig and painted by DeeAnn Kjelshus. This resin is oozing with details. He has the attitude that says look at me and he could be any number of breeds. Artist quality acrylic paints and pastels were used to create his detailed coloring, dapples, and pinto markings. The pinto markings were based on a real horse who was of Gypsy cob breeding. He is designed to look like he’s out in the pasture, with his messy mane and his dirty hooves, legs, and not-so-white coat. He has all the details I’m known for including, but not limited to detailed markings, hooves, eyes, and mane and tail. He is sealed between each layer with a matte fixative and finished with a final coat of protective finish, along with his eyes being glossed for realism. Up for your consideration is a medallion by Sarah Minkiewicz-Breunig. It is titled “The Opinion” and is in “The Banda” series by Sarah from 2020. He has been painted by DeeAnn Kjelshus. The sculpting on this medallion is so detailed and stunning. I’ve tried to complement it with my paint work. It is also a very large medallion. The Breyer Lady Phase is shown with him for Scale (not part of this sale) He measures 11 X 7 inches. He is an Akhal-teke. Artist quality acrylic paints and pastels were used to create his beautiful Palomino color. He has a slight sheen to his coat to mimic the sheen of an Akhal-teke He has all the details I’m known for including, but not limited to detailed, eyes, and mane and tail and neck collars which have lots of detail including little seashells!
