7/2007: Raja Top Tens at NAN 2007!!

I have a few of the copies that weren't in the original run due to being broken and/or distorted. Eventually these may be customized and sold.

Rajas Run Size : We ran into some unforeseen difficulties in casting which drastically hampered production. Do to these difficulties Raja is a very limited edition.  I had predicting anywhere from 10-15 copies in the total run which ended up being lower than the final count which is 21 total painted copies available to the public. Please read full information about his run below to find out why .

The original prototype of Raja was painted Chestnut and is the one you see in the photos below. Check out in the other Artist Choice and Guest Artist copes in the gallery below. All of the Rajas in the Gallery are sold.

Raja is a gentle Arabian Gelding.  He was created as an every day back yard horse, or a show horse. He could do performance or just be a collectors piece.   He is being released as a Limited Edition in fine Artist's resin. Raja means "To Hope". 

Originally this Arabian Gelding was created for myself.  There are so many good Arabian Sculptures out there that I didn't feel there was a need for another one. Yet, I had the urge to create an Arabian for myself.  Once he was completed I had many people emailing me wanting to see him as a LE resin.  I took the Original with me to a Live show and was overwhelmed with the response.  I then took a poll and the results said it all - the public wanted to see him as a LE Resin.  So here he is!!

If you paid in full and you are not satisfied with your resin, contact me and return it within the first 10 days of delivery to you for a refund minus postage/insurance costs and minus a nonrefundable deposit of $50 which covers handling and resin ordering fees (these fees must be applied to all orders painted or unpainted due to the costs involved). The horse must be returned to me in the same good condition it was sent, well packed and insured for full value or damages will be incurred to you. Showing the model during this period voids the return policy -NO exceptions!

By the time I completed the 3rd Artist Choice Raja I had been sent a total of 14 copies. 2 of which were broken or rejects and of no use due to wire problems so I excluded them from the run (for a total of 12 in my hands at that time). One of the ones excluded I am customizing so he’s now missing his hind end, and his head and neck from the shoulder up. LOL! (So he is definitely not part of the regular run)

Of this original batch of 12 there were problems with them arriving with broken legs, and ears. Three of those are being customized with different ears than the original Raja.

After speaking to the Caster he thought he’d only be sending me some rejects or another handful of Rajas if that. To my excitement more copies arrived on my doorstep. Sadly, of these, 6 copies were broken and had other assorted problems.

**Update** A Claim was filed and 4 Rajas were taken, and no longer exist as part of the run. **

Also, I do plan to keep 1-3 copies for myself if possible.

I now have possession of the mold so I can assure you that there will be no more Rajas created.

This is Artist Choice #9. He is painted into a smutty buckskin tobiano pinto with lots of ink spots and cat tracks, some with roaning. Stunning, and loaded with details from wrinkles under his arms, tons of details on his face, to pinking in appropriate areas and the hairs have been individually drawn in for the mapping of his spots. I completed him just in time to take to a live show last weekend where he won his class and already qualified for NAN! (shown as an Arab X Paint).

Raja #14 -SOLD

He is painted into a sunbleached dappled black sabino pinto by DeeAnn Kjelshus. I had a hard time capturing his exact color with photos. They either get to washed out or have to much contrast. In person he is a very stunning, rich color with deep shades of auburn in appropriate sunbleached areas, wonderful subtle realistic dapples, and a stunning sunbleached mane and tail.

Kate painted this guy into a gorgeous dappled bay with lots of chrome. His color is wonderful with lots of depth.

Painted Dark Bay Rabicano by Guest Artist Stephanie Michaud!

Steph painted this Raja dark dappled bay rabicano with purplish undertones and details galore. Painted in oils so he is very rich in color, but as smooth as can be. Steph didn't spare any detail on him. He's loaded with hand painted white hairs that make up his roaning and rabicano markings. They start at his belly behind his forelegs, and work they way up into his flanks. He has some great roaning on his chest between his forelegs where she followed the hair pattern precisely! The tail is the typical Rabicano "Coon Tail" and the detail is just as wonderful as the rest. She finished him off with lifelike eyes that seem to speak to you!

GA Raja #5-(19/21) Painted by Guest Artist Danielle Feldman to a beautiful dappled Chestnut Pinto! This guy is just oozing with detail and color that is common in Danielle's pieces! He has cat tracks, dappling, hand painted hairs mapping his markings, and the most lovely partial blue eyes! Too top off the fact that he has a fabulous paint job, this Raja has been customized by DeeAnn with both ears forward. Making him even more unique!

GA Raja #6 (20/21) He has been painted into an absolutely stunning Silver Dapple Morab by the amazing Cindy Williams! This is a color and breed that works GREAT for Raja! Cindy also customized Rajas mane, tail and forelock making this copy a complete "knock out"!
