Cast in Fine Artists Resin

Unpainted copies are sold out.
I have retained a handful of copies to paint as "Artist Choice". Please contact me if your interested in one of these pieces.

This little darling will steal your heart! Adorable and Cute are just a couple of words that have been used to describe Keepsake. This little one is loaded with little details including: Eyelashes, a detailed 'whirl' of fur on her forehead, fuzzy ears, a detailed mane and tail, and wrinkles all over as she hasn't grown into her skin yet!!

Keepsake was inspired by Shetland and Miniature Horse Foals with their short little necks, and legs. Their squarish heads with broad forheads and tinee tiny muzzles, as well as those cute fuzzy ears and eyelashes! Scroll to see some of the photos I used for inspiration.

Breed ideas for Keepsake:

Miniature Horse
The ideal Miniature Horse of today, according to the American Miniature Horse Association's Standard of Perfection, must be small (standing at or less than 34 inches tall as measured from the last hairs of the mane,) must be sound, well-balanced, and possess the correct conformation characteristics required of most breeds. The general impression should be one of symmetry, strength, agility and alertness, with refinement and femininity in the mare and boldness and masculinity in the stallion-in other words, must be the smallest possible perfect horse. The Miniature comes in all possible horse colors. AMHA

American Shetland
Hardy and resilient, the Shetland is very strong for its size. It has a medium sized head, a rather dished face with a well-shaped muzzle and a jaw capable of grazing poor growth over an extensive area. The ears are medium sized and the eyes large and kindly. The coat is thick with a heavy mane and tail offering good protection against the local winter weather conditions. The action of the legs must be active and long striding to deal with local ground conditions.

Section A Welsh Mountain Pony
The ponies have a dished face (from the Arabian influence) with small ears and large eyes. They are sure-footed with sound feet and dense bone, and are very hardy. The ponies should have a sloping shoulder, deep chest, short back, and round rib cage. Their legs should be fine with good hocks.
